Turn one idea into a social content set

By Aamir1 min read

Build a connected set of posts, visuals and captions without repeating the same sentence everywhere.

Before you start

One useful idea, your audience, the supporting facts and a short description of your brand voice.

The workflow

1. Choose the single takeaway

Write what the audience should understand or do after seeing the content. Add a source for any statistic or product claim. Keep unsupported facts out of the brief.

2. Give each format a different job

Use a short post for the takeaway, a carousel for the explanation and a video script for the demonstration. Ask for a content plan before generating every asset.

3. Make the visual readable

Build the layout in a design tool. Keep the important information as editable text, check contrast at phone size and avoid putting a paragraph inside an AI-generated image.

4. Check the whole set

Verify facts, captions, image rights and the destination link. Read alt text alongside the image. Adapt to the platform’s current format limits before scheduling.

A starting brief

Replace the bracketed fields. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another assistant – or press Fill in.

Starter prompt
Adapt this idea into three pieces: a concise social post, a five-slide carousel outline and a 30-second video script.

Audience: [WHO]. Core takeaway: [ONE IDEA].

Supported facts: [FACTS AND SOURCES]. Tone: [DESCRIPTION].

Give each format a different angle. Do not invent statistics or testimonials.

For each piece include the next action and a visual brief.

Open in

Make it concrete

For a guide to cleaner spreadsheets: the post names one common error, the carousel explains a checking process, and the video demonstrates it on fictional data.

Check the result

The pieces should reinforce one message while working independently. A carousel needs a progression, not five repetitions of the hook.
