Video in, prompt out. Paste a YouTube or Shorts link (or upload a clip) and in about a minute you get a master prompt for Veo, Sora, Kling or any other video model, a timestamped storyboard and a 14-point breakdown of why the video works.
- Open aistudio.google.com/apikey and sign in with any Google account.
- Click "Create API key" (accept the terms if asked). It is free; no card is needed.
- Copy the key (it starts with AIza) and paste it above. Tick "Remember on this device" so you only do this once.
Your key is sent only with your own requests and never stored on our server. Google's free limits apply to your key, not ours, so you can run as many as your key allows.
A worked example
Here is what the tool does with a typical 20-second Short: a kitten “guarding” a watermelon from a curious goose, filmed on a phone in a sunny backyard.
Settings: Write the prompt for Google Veo 3 · Mode: Inspired by it · Length: 8 seconds · Style: match the video.
Master prompt (shortened): Handheld smartphone footage, warm late-afternoon sun, shallow depth of field. CHARACTER: a small grey tabby kitten with a white chest and oversized amber eyes. SETTING: a vegetable patch beside a white picket fence, one giant pumpkin in the centre. [00:00-00:02] Low angle: the kitten sits on top of the pumpkin, tail flicking, staring off-screen. [00:02-00:05] A plump white duck waddles in and pecks the pumpkin; the kitten puffs up and taps the duck’s beak with one paw. [00:05-00:08] The duck freezes, quacks once and backs away; the kitten settles down, triumphant. SOUND: garden ambience, one surprised quack, a tiny squeak from the kitten. RULES: no text, no logos, the same kitten in every shot.
Notice what changed: “Inspired by it” kept the format (small animal defends something huge from a bigger animal, three beats, a payoff at the end) but swapped every specific detail, so the result is your own video, not a copy.
How to use it
- Add a video. Paste a public YouTube video or Shorts link, or upload a clip (MP4, MOV or WebM). Short clips of under a minute give the sharpest results. Large files are read as key frames in your browser, so you never upload the whole thing.
- Pick the model. Choose the video model you will use: Google Veo 3 / 3.1, OpenAI Sora 2, Kling, Seedance, Grok Imagine, Runway Gen-4, Hailuo, Pika, Wan, or Universal for a prompt that works everywhere.
- Choose Recreate or Inspired by it. Recreate describes the video faithfully, which is useful for studying it. Inspired by it keeps the format, hook and pacing but invents an original subject: use this for anything you publish.
- Set the length and style. Veo makes 8-second clips, so pick 8 seconds for one clip, or 15 to 60 seconds for a longer storyboard you will split later. Optionally type a change, such as “make the dog a cat, set it at night”.
- Extract the master prompt. Copy the full prompt, the short version for apps with a character limit, the negative prompt or one of the three variations, and paste it into your video model.
What the 14-point breakdown tells you
Every result explains why the video holds attention: the hook in the first two seconds, the format, subject, characters, setting, camera, lighting, colour grade, pacing, audio, on-screen text, emotion, payoff and the retention mechanics that keep people watching. Read a few breakdowns from the same niche and you will see the pattern that niche rewards. That is worth more than any single prompt.

What it does not do
- It does not make the video. It writes the prompt; you run it in Veo, Sora, Kling or another model. To make a finished video from a script, use Script to Video Studio.
- Paste-in links work for public YouTube videos only. For TikTok, Instagram or Facebook, save a copy you have the right to use and upload it.
- It cannot guarantee the same result twice: video models vary every run. Keep the character description identical in every clip for consistency.
- It is not a way around copyright. Use “Inspired by it” and change the subject for anything you publish.
Privacy
Your link or clip is sent to Google Gemini for this one request and is not saved on PromptifyLab. Large uploads are reduced to 12 key frames in your browser first. If you add your own Gemini key, it travels only with your request and is never stored on our server.

Which video models does it support?
Google Veo 3 and 3.1, OpenAI Sora 2, Kling, Seedance, Grok Imagine, Runway Gen-4, Hailuo, Pika and Wan, or a universal prompt that works in all of them.
Can I use TikTok, Instagram or Facebook videos?
Links work for public YouTube videos and Shorts. For other platforms, save a copy you have the right to use and upload it from your device.
