Script to Video: Free Faceless Video Maker

Script in, video out. Write or paste a script and the studio makes a picture for every scene, adds an AI voice (or your own recording), subtitles, slow motion and transitions, then exports a video file you can upload to YouTube Shorts, Reels or TikTok. It all runs in your browser.

A worked example

Script: “Deep in the Arctic, a lonely lighthouse keeper hears a knock at midnight. Nobody has visited the island in eleven years. He opens the door and finds a polar bear cub, shivering in the snow. That winter, the keeper was never lonely again.”

Settings: Format 9:16 Shorts · Picture style: Cinematic photo · Seconds per scene: Auto (by narration) · AI voice: Charon (deep documentary) · Subtitles: Bold pop · Motion: Slow zoom & pan · Transition: Crossfade.

Result: four scenes, one per sentence, each with its own picture (the lighthouse at night, the keeper with a lantern, the cub on the doorstep, both by the fire), about 18 seconds in total, with bold word-by-word subtitles. Export it, add music you have the rights to, and post.

How to use it

  1. Script. Paste your script; each paragraph or sentence becomes a scene. Choose the format (9:16, 16:9 or 1:1), the picture style and the seconds per scene, or let the narration set the timing.
  2. Scenes & pictures. Press Make scenes. Optionally let AI write a picture prompt for every scene (uses one free run), then Make all pictures. If a picture misses, make that scene’s sentence more visual and make the pictures again.
  3. Voice & music. Choose an AI voice and delivery style, upload your own voice-over (scenes are timed to your recording), or go subtitles-only. Add background music you have the right to use.
  4. Look. Pick the subtitle style, motion (slow zoom & pan or still) and transition (crossfade or hard cut).
  5. Render. Keep the tab open while it records in real time, then Download video. Chrome and Edge export MP4; other browsers export WebM.

Tips for a better video

  • Open with your strongest line: the first two seconds decide whether people keep watching.
  • Write sentences you can see. “He opens the door” makes a picture; “time passed” does not.
  • Keep one picture style for the whole video so it feels like one story.
  • Recording your own voice builds trust and makes the channel harder to copy.

Who it is for

What it does not do

  • It makes picture-based videos with motion, not fully animated AI video. For moving footage, use Script to Scenes with Veo, Sora or Kling.
  • Rendering happens in real time in your browser, so a 60-second video takes about a minute. Keep the tab open and visible.
  • Free AI pictures vary in quality. Clear, visual sentences and one consistent picture style give the best results.
  • It does not provide music. Use tracks you have the rights to, such as the YouTube Audio Library.

Privacy

Your video is assembled in your own browser; the finished file is never uploaded to us. To make the parts, each scene’s picture description is sent to a free image service, and AI picture prompts and the AI voice are made by Google Gemini, one request at a time. Nothing is saved on PromptifyLab. A voice-over you upload stays on your device.

Questions

Is Script to Video really free?

Yes. Pictures, subtitles, motion and rendering are free. AI picture prompts and the AI voice use your free daily AI runs, or unlimited runs with your own Gemini key.

Can I use my own voice?

Yes. Upload an MP3, WAV or M4A recording and the scenes are timed to it, in proportion to their words.

What format is the video?

Chrome and Edge export MP4; other browsers export WebM. Both upload to YouTube, and most phones can convert WebM if a platform asks for MP4.

Can I monetise videos made with it?

Platforms reward original, valuable videos. Write your own script, use music you have rights to, and add your own voice or commentary; avoid mass-producing near-identical videos.
