A worked example

Input: “An AI video of a kitten guarding a watermelon from a goose. Funny, 30 seconds.” · Platform: YouTube Shorts · Tone: funny · Language: English.

  • Titles (3 of 10): “This Kitten Will Not Share His Watermelon” · “Goose vs Kitten: Who Gets the Watermelon?” · “The Smallest Bodyguard on the Farm”
  • Hooks (2 of 8): “This goose picked the wrong watermelon.” · “He is 400 grams of pure courage.”
  • Thumbnail text: “NOT TODAY, GOOSE”
  • Description opening: “A tiny kitten takes on a curious goose to protect the biggest watermelon on the farm. Who wins? Watch to the end…”
  • Hashtags: #kitten #funnyanimals #aivideo #shorts

How to use it

  1. Describe the video in one or two sentences: what happens, who it is for, and what makes it different.
  2. Choose the platform, tone and language. Lengths and styles follow each platform; the kit is written natively in English, Urdu, Roman Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French or Indonesian.
  3. Write my launch kit and copy the parts you need.
  4. Pick one title that is specific and true to the video, and a hook that matches the thumbnail text, so the promise is consistent from thumbnail to first second.
  5. Check the lengths with the Social Character Counter before you publish.

How to use the results

  • Titles: lead with the most interesting word, and keep the important part within the first 50 characters so it is not cut off on mobile.
  • Hooks: say or show the hook in the first two seconds. A question, a surprising fact or the payoff teased at the start all work.
  • Thumbnail text: two to four words, large and high-contrast, and never the title word for word.
  • Description: the first two lines show in search, so put the key phrase there; the rest can hold chapters and links.
  • Tags and hashtags: a few precise ones beat many vague ones. They help with spelling variants and topic, not ranking on their own.

Who it is for

What it does not do

  • It cannot see your video. Describe it accurately; a title that promises what the video does not deliver hurts watch time.
  • It does not research live search volume. Use YouTube’s search suggestions to choose between titles.
  • It does not make the thumbnail image. Use the thumbnail text with Image to Prompt or your design tool.
