Move from rereading a summary to practising what you can explain, recall and apply.
Before you start
Your course notes, a clear topic boundary and a list of what you are expected to know.
The workflow
1. Give it the right source material
Use the relevant notes rather than an entire textbook. Identify the section and learning objective. If the tool cannot see a source, do not accept claims that it has read it.
2. Find the difficult idea
Ask for a short explanation that stays within your notes, then explain it back in your own words. Have the assistant identify the specific gap instead of simply praising your answer.
3. Practise retrieval
Request one question at a time and answer before seeing the explanation. Mix recall with application. Keep a separate list of questions you missed.
4. Verify and revisit
Check corrections against the source and resolve contradictions. Revisit missed questions later without looking at the answers. An attractive summary is not evidence that you have learned it.

Make it concrete
Instead of “summarise supply and demand,” ask for a small scenario, predict what changes, and then check your explanation against the course notes.
Check the result
You should be doing the remembering and explaining. If you only read the model’s answers, change the interaction so it waits for you.
